  • Zinc Alloy

    1.Zamak 3: good flowability and mechanical properties. Applied to the castings with mechanical strength of less demanding, such as toys , lamps , decorations , and some electrical parts .
    2.Zamak 5: good flowability and good mechanical properties. Applied to the castings which require certain mechanical strength, such as auto parts , electrical parts, machinery parts and electrical components.
    3. zinc alloy is a kind of zinc-based alloy in addition of alloys composed of other elements. The added alloys are used to be low-temperature alloys composed of aluminum, copper, magnesium, etc.
    4. zinc alloy has features of low melting point, good fluidity, easy processing and anti-corrosion in the atmosphere. The maimed material is easy to facilitate recycling and re-melting.
  • Aluminum Alloy

    1. Common aluminum alloy grades are ADC # 10, ADC # 12, ADC # 5, ADC # 6, A356.
    2. The aluminum is aluminum-based alloy in general. The main alloying elements are copper, silicon , magnesium , zinc , manganese and the minor alloying elements are nickel, iron , titanium, chromium , lithium and so on.
    3. It is roughly divided into two series : aluminum silicon alloy and aluminum-magnesium alloy.
    4. The proportion of aluminum alloy is light and about 0.35 times of iron or steel. When the volumes are the same , 1kg iron is about equal to 0.35 kg aluminum.

    6061 has good mechanical properties and can be processed in T4 & T6 heat treatment, welding, and anodizing.
  • Brass Casting

    1.The most commonly used copper-based alloys which are mainly composed of zinc as the alloying element are copper 59, brass 65, brass 68, brass 70 , brass 80, brass85, lead-free copper.
    2. The most commonly used is brass 64 which is 40% zinc composed. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, called brass or ordinary brass.
    3. The content of zinc in brass can change the different mechanical properties. The higher zinc content has the higher strength but the plasticity also reduces.
    4.The zinc content of the brass used in the industry is not allowed to exceed 45% due to the high zinc content will produce brittleness and makes the performance of copper alloy worse.
    5.By adding aluminum into brass can increase the yield strength and corrosion resistance of brass. The plasticity will be slightly reduced.
    6.Brass which contains the aluminum less than 4% has good overall performance for processing, casting, etc.
    7.By adding 1% tin to brass can improve the corrosion resistance ability of sea water and ocean atmosphere, so called “ Navy Brass”.
  • Copper

    Red copper is a single element, named for its color of purple. Red copper is the industril pure copper. Its melting point is 1083℃. There’s no allotrope change. The relative density is 8.9 which is five times as magnesium. Its weight is 15% heavier than steel. It has the color of red rose and will become purple after an oxide film formed on the surface. Thus, it is also commonly named purple copper. It is copper with a certain oxygen, which is also called oxygen-containing copper.

    Steel and iron are mainly different in chemical composition. Carbon is the main component to differ pig iron and steel. Pig iron has a high carbon content, typically 3.5% to 4.0% , resulting in hard and brittle iron . The difference between steel and iron is that ≥2.11% carbon content is called pig iron and carbon content < 2.11% is called steel.

    Steel is a iron-carbon alloy with carbon content between 0.04%-2.3%. We usually call it together with iron as iron and steel. In order to ensure its toughness and ductility, the carbon content is generally not more than 1.7%. In addition to the main elements of iron and carbon, there are other elements like silicon, manganese, sulfur, phosphorus, etc.
  • Mild steel

    Low carbon steel is a non-alloy steel with carbon content less than 0.25%. The low-carbon steel with carbon content from 0.10 % to 0.30 % is easy to accept all kinds of processing such as forging ,, welding and cutting , commonly used in the manufacturing chain , rivets , bolts, shafts, etc.
    Carbon steel with carbon content less than 25% is also called mild steel due to its low intensity and low & soft hardness.
  • Ductile iron

    1.Ductile cast iron grade FCD45~FCD600.
    2.Ductile cast iron is high performance cast iron after the ball and bred treatment from the gray cast iron ball. The obtained precipitated graphite crystal appears spherical, so it is called ductile cast iron.
    3.The ductility and toughness of ductile cast iron are greatly improved with respect to the common cast iron. For this reason, it can be used in alternative of steel in some parts.
  • Malleable iron
    Popular brands and features
    1.The chemical composition of malleable iron: C = 2.2% ~ 2.8%, Si = 1.0% ~ 1.8%, Mn = 0.3% ~ 0.8%, S≤0.2%, P≤0.1%.
    2.Malleable iron grades KTH300-06, KTH330-08, KTH350-10, KTH370-12: for the manufacture of pipe fittings, low pressure valves, car rear axle housings, steering mechanism, machine tool parts.
    3.Malleable iron grades KTZ450-06, KTZ550-04, KTZ650-02, KTZ700-02: higher manufacturing strength , good wear resistance castings , such as gear boxes , camshafts , crankshafts , connecting rods, piston rings.
    4.Malleable iron grades KTB380-04, KTB380-12, KTB400-05, KTB450-07: This is a white heart malleable iron castings and is limited to the manufacture of thin-walled castings without heat treatment after welding. Since the process IS more complicated, it is seldom applied for the machining manufacture.
  • Gray iron
    Popular brands and features
    In gray cast iron FC15-FC25, the most or all of the carbon exists in the form of flake graphite in a free state. Its fracture was dark gray. It has certain mechanical properties and are easy to be cut. It’s widely used in the body architecture of industrial machinery.
  • stainless steel
    Popular brands and features
    304- stainless steel’s main ingredient is 18% chromium and 8% nickel- → to be chemical resistance oxidation and non-magnetic, often be used in corrosion resistant containers, utensils , furniture , railings. This kind of stainless steel in JIS code is number 304 , so it is called 304 stainless steel, also called " tin ." in Taiwan.
    316 stainless steel’s main ingredient is 18% -14% chromium, 12% nickel and 2% -3 % molybdenum → by adding molybdenum, it has better resistance to chloride corrosion than 304 stainless steel. So it is often used in marine waters accessories. It is non-magnetic. They are mainly used in the food industry and surgical equipment.
